Type of Project: Cross-Cultural Music and Culinary Installation
Charlotte curated an exclusive food and music menu for Thailicious, a Thai family restaurant in New York City. This project features two original music compositions, each inspired by signature dishes from the restaurant and the rich stories behind them. The compositions create a sensory experience, connecting the flavors of Thai cuisine with the rhythmic harmonies of pop and traditional Thai instruments. Diners can immerse themselves in this unique blend while enjoying the corresponding dishes at Thailicious.
In addition, Charlotte produced a mini-documentary series—Cooking with Jay, 100 Thai Food Lovers at Thailicious, and Chinatown Tour—available on the restaurant’s Instagram. These documentaries delve deeper into the cultural significance and inspiration behind the dishes, providing a more meaningful connection between the food, the music, and the stories that shape them.
