To Tune Into One's Best Self
Charlotte is a Chinese-American music technologist, classical vocalist, therapeutic sound designer, and creative entrepreneur. As the founder of Inner Tone, an integrative holistic sound wellness brand, Charlotte transforms sound and music into experiences that promote mental wellness and emotional balance.

Artist Journey
Charlotte's artistic foundation is rooted in classical vocal performance. She has performed as a classical vocalist on prestigious stages worldwide, including as lead singer at Vienna's Golden Hall and at the Shanghai World Expo Opening Ceremony, among numerous international concert halls. Her classical training and performance excellence have shaped her understanding of sound as a powerful medium for expression and transformation.
Beyond the stage, Charlotte has been a catalyst for community and innovation in music technology. As co-chair of the Audio Engineering Society's NYU chapter, she curated artist talks, Grammy-winning engineers' masterclasses, Dolby tours, and promoted various music industry events including AES conferences, fostering connections between students and industry professionals.
In 2023, Charlotte founded Spacedog Tattoo, a temporary tattoo brand where she designs both aesthetic products that have earned recognition from NYU's Female Founder Fellowship and NYU's Startup Accelerator Program, along with grant funding and commercial adoption. Building on this foundation, she has since expanded into designing interactive temporary tattoos that function as playable instruments, programmed using C++ and Arduino. These wearable interfaces transform body movement into music, representing an ongoing investigation into accessible musical expression through embodied interaction.
That same year, Charlotte released her first EP, "Thailicious House," commissioned as theme music for a Thai restaurant in NYC, expanding the dining experience through carefully crafted sonic atmosphere. As a songwriter, her original works "Heidi" and "New Stars" have been featured at NYU's Singer-Songwriter Showcase and Berklee College of Music's Singer-Songwriter Showcase.
Charlotte is a graduate of NYU's Music Technology program (BA '24) and recipient of the Outstanding Service and Leadership award. Her technical work includes immersive sound installations using Max/MSP, including a spatial audio environment featuring Tibetan chanting that explores the relationship between acoustic resonance and meditative states.
Her current work as a therapeutic sound designer and healing music vocalist integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine principles with psychoacoustic research, creating soundscapes designed for therapeutic impact. Her composition "Healing with a Bamboo's Tale" is regularly featured at holistic health clinics' wellness events.
As the founder of Inner Tone, Charlotte has collaborated with NYU alumni and corporate partners to provide team wellness events, using music and sound to help individuals rebalance their energy and promote emotional well-being. She has also pioneered an innovative integration of healing music with acupuncture, addressing issues such as poor sleep, anxiety, and appetite irregularities. Charlotte continues to expand her practice, bringing together artists and creatives from different disciplines to promote well-being for all.
